Steps:

Connect the components:
- Place the 555 timer IC on the breadboard.
- Connect R1 between pin 8 (Vcc) and pin 2 (trigger).
- Connect C1 between pin 2 and pin 6 (threshold).
- Connect R2 between pin 6 and pin 3 (output).
- Connect C2 between pin 6 and ground.
- Connect the power supply to pin 4 (reset) and pin 8 (Vcc).

Apply power:

Adjusting frequency and amplitude:

Amplitude: The amplitude of the triangle wave can be adjusted by changing the value of R2. Increasing R2 will decrease the amplitude, while decreasing it will increase the amplitude.

Additional notes:

The linearity of the triangle wave can be improved by using larger values for C2.
For higher frequencies, smaller values for R1 and C1 can be used.
