Gatex 4ch gate.
Voltage Regulator

7815 regulator
7915 Regulator (currently blown)  ~$7 for two delivered.
Something is shorted in the 4th channel.
One can get the unit to run by disconnecting it.

I am selling it as parts or for repair.
I opened it up and found that the power supply sections had the voltage regulators replaced with fresh voltage regulators. but were never soldered in place.
I soldered them into the circuit and ran it up on the variac. It became apparent that there was a short on the negative 15v rail. I disconnected the negative rail by unsoldering a zero ohm resistor
and both the 15v and -15v rails  came up to workable voltages.
FIrest check out the 1.v Vee

There are a lot of components to check. If you have a thermal cam you may be able to isolate it rather easily.
I have a manual that I downloaded for this unit... It is located at this web address.
It contains a schematic for the power supply and one gate channel.
Parts of particular interest are the VCAs which are supposedly fairly robust and transparent.

After appropriate algebraic operations are performed
with the dc control voltage and the voltage derived from the range control
potentiometer, the algebraic sum of the two sources is applied to the
appropriate port of the Va1ley People TA-101 voltage controlled a m p l i f i e r .
A11 front panel controls and switches affect only dc voltage levels applied
to the control circui-try, thus the only elements in the audio
signal chain are the input amplifi-er, the Valley People VCA' famous . _ -
thioughout the professional audio world for its transparency and troublefree
performance, and the line driver c i r c u i t r y .

All the ICs are socketed. One could pull them all which might indicate that the issues is in fact a
shorted  IC.
It has mechanical damage on the first channel. Bent pot shaft and a missing knob.
