Thread Chasing Indicator

Quick note, the Thread Dial Indicator in
the photo might be for a different pitch lead screw,
like 6 tpi instead of the standard 8 tpi.
I think that TDI is for a larger South Bend Lathe?

I have an imperial leadscrew lathe that is
permanently set up with a 127 change gear for metric screwcutting as
I'll only cut an imperial-type thread once in a blue moon. I just
keep the half-nuts engaged and reverse the leadscrew back at the end
of the cut.
